APPROVAL OF THE EAGLE'S NEST VOLUNTEER CENTER GRANT APPLICATION TO THE METLIFE FOUNDATION FOR ALTA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Description
COMPETITIVE: Grant funds of $3,000.00 will be used to provide individualized intensive instruction in reading and math to at-risk students grades K-5, develop opportunities for parents to get involved in their child's education and engage community members in a collegial positive environment that promotes student achievement through instruction and mentoring of at-risk students.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the Eagle's Nest Volunteer Center grant application.
